Help with finishing box

As soon as the weather clears up and the snow melts, I am going to build my own box. The only thing I can't figure out is how to do the carpet so it looks good. I am looking for someone that live close to the Bel Air Maryland area that is willing to help me.

What I did for my box was buy some carpet from crutchfield, and then went to home depot and bought some 3M adhesive spray. Spray both the box and the carpet ( not too much it will seep through). Then spread the carpet over the box and press firmly. I also stapled the edges down for extra hold. That's about it. It's actually pretty easy. Remember if you are building the box into anything, the carpet will add about an 1/8" of thichness.

hope this helps.

Yea, mostly any car audio place has carpet, just get the spray glue from any Raido shack or home depot spray the box good and lay the carpet on top then strech to where you want it. its really very easy, i did it to my amp rack and it looks great.

Like said it is not that hard....hardest part would be corners, then you just need to cut and trim, untill it is a good fit. Just like covering other objects, a small vut or v-type cut and your corners will line-up just right. Maybe go look at some boxes and try to figure out the technique they used. Carpet and adhesive are cheap, so mistakes will not cost you much.
