im lookin to make my subs hit harder, there ok now ive only spent 200 on it. well got it for my b-day it came with 260 watt amp and 210 hit its ok when the seats are down but when there up you can barely feel or hear, so what should i do they guy at kronic car audio said if i wanted to i could pay 50 more and get a 400 watt amp, oh the 10s and the subs are memphis dont know if thats any good never really took time to learn about subs and amps.
Upgrading the amp will sure do u good IF and ONLY if your sub(s) can handle it. Your subs can only handle a certain wattage, and if you over-power your subs they will fry. So find out how much power the subs can handle then upgrade your amp accordingly.
EDIT: Memphis audio brand equipment is pretty decent for it's price. Not the best in the market but they are somewhere in the middle.

the guy at kronic said they can handle up to 500 watts, and my uncle has 2 fosgate 500 watt amps hooked up to the same subs, and im looking to spend around 200 maybe a little more so what would be a good amp.
you need to look at the RMS power of the amp. it may be a 500 MAX watt amp, but it is probably only putting out like 100x2 or so RMS, which sucks. check ubid.com or etronics.com and go with something good like soundstream or MA audio for an amp. RMS is the crucial number, MAX doesnt mean squatt when powering subs.
Here's what I'd do:
Memphis MC500D
2 Memphis PR124 Subs (12")
I sell the Memphis stuff in my store, and believe me...that will knock your socks off...
Get a good box, tho...properly tuned, also.

Peak power means diddly squat. When you look @ equipment, you look at RMS (Constant) power. That is the power you are gonna be pushing out constantly while bumping the system.
2 things.
1. memphis makes some great stuff.
2. lancer seats bring the suck. the difference with seats up/seats down is so incredible, don't be alarmed if it's a lot quieter with them up.
