these rings kick *** for 7 bucks, seal up the sound nice, screw the ring down, dynamat around the area then screw the speaker and you have excellent sound quality!

better than zip tieing!

I have not received mine yet, will the mounting holes of the speaker (not adapter plate) clear the hole wher the speaker goes in and sit flushed?

Thumbs up

those are perfect for the rear but the front doors are a different story. i had to make baffles (the same shape as those adapters) to get my components in the front doors out of 3/4" mdf so the new speakers would clear the windows & i also trimmed the inside of the plastic door panel due to the new thickness. i don't run rear speakers but that's a great part for the community. here's a link of my front door install. see post #8:

That look good, how did you mount your tweeter (did you screw it on the top hole that used to hold the bracket?) Did you completely bypass the factory wiring? Nice job

the answers are yes & yes. i bolted the new tweeter bracket to the old bracket hole. i ran new wiring from both speakers to the xovers(i stuck those in both the dash side panels) & then ran wiring (16 gauge) to amp (both amps under front seats). as a side note those Niche Audio components were $81 (including xovers) & sound fabulous!! i have 200watts RMS going to those & 670 RMS mono pushing the Fosgate P3 12 in the trunk.

Same for fronts... MDF rings are better than plastic ones, but either will work.

They're now on Ebay for $3 plus $4 shipping. Which beats the $7 + shipping on the original post.

I'll update when I get mine and install the speakers...
