J, it was not directed at any one person, You have close to the same set up as i once had. Its a good SQ car but you and I both know its not exactly a SPL van. MOMO is good quality mid bass. from what i read, this guy wants the "big bada boom" This was an old thread that i was trying to keep my nose out of but it didnt work Hopefully no hard feelings or no impulse buys.

No, I wasn't trying to start something, or anything like that, I just thought it was the best buy qoute that made me look twice, and everyone has to agree that jl is probably the best but not everyone can afford it, and the anti-rockford comments I have to disagree with. In my opinion, fosgate is the best bang for the buck. They don't have crystal clear anything, but for the money, they're pretty damn good for high db's. I used to run a fosgate setup that cost under a grand that I hit 143 db's with. I go with polk/momo now only for the look, I've had hard as hell hitting equipment before, I've been doing mobile audio for 10 years, 3 of them professionally, and hard hitting stuff is like been there, done that kind of thing, ya know. The polk stuff looks sweet as hell in a yellow lancer, that's my reasoning, and it still hits pretty good for my bass craving. But you're right, the lancer does not hold up well in high db's, another reason I gave up on it, don't like rattle, but anyway, I'm agreeing with you on a lot, but disagreeing with you on some, but of course, no hard feelings, to each his own, right. Some clarification on the best buy remark, I was an installer for them in my past, and while I can't speak for their sales staff or inventory, hell, I agree with you, us installers were good at what we did, and took our job seriously, and at the location I worked at, we were all mecp certified, which means a lot in car audio. I guess that's why I took offense, it all good though. Lates

I understand you were not trying to start anything, nor was I to be honest. my comments were that for the same money as JL you can get something better such as the XXX or a E15a or something like that.

As for the best buy analogy i am very sorry but someone always has to take my wrath (most of the time its ultimate electronics) but best buy just rolled off my finger tips. nothing against best buy at all. I dont go in there very often or at all but the times i have been inside the c/a dept i have not been wowed!

Most installers are good but it takes someone with the will to stay and work till your install is 100%. I have not ever taken mine anywhere to be worked on i have always done it myself but im an ******* and i have been knowen to throw speaker boxes and amp racks against the wall and start all over because of a 1/4 inch.

if you want a system just to have one, go with Rockford, other wise save your change and get something to run with the big boys. cause their aint no way any Rockford will sound better than my E12a(see, i am an *******)

Things to ask yourself when looking is how much you want to pay and what do you want it to do/sound like.
most of the time those two butt heads you just have to find a common ground.

Best of luck and im sorry if i made anyone mad.

okay if u want to bump really hard then do not always go straight for the JL audio Im not saying anything bad about JL but they are 2 expensive you can get some good *** subs for much cheaper and don't get rockford fosgate subs they suck and anything sony, audiobahn or stuff at circuit city or best is not worth your time(no offense to any workers at those stores but those stores rip you off bad) If you want to bump hard as hell you can get 2 15 inch pheonix gold titanium's for 150 on ebay, or sum kicker sols's which are really good, dayton audio also makes some badass subs which are really cheap, elemental designs makes great subs that are cheap as $hit, diamond audio subs are bada$$, bramha subs are also sum of the best, the new orion h2 is also bada$$, dbMONKEY, stroker, soloX, and orion all the subs I mentioned are some the best subs out there and sum of the cheapest I say get the two 15's by Pheonix gold and and a xtant amp and when you get out you wont be able to hear, I know I forgot sum subs so my bad
