I have the Kenwood Excelon x178 in my front door and rear deck. They are a 6-3/4" speaker and I have an amp putting 60rms watts to each. They sound real good, very crisp and clear. You can find them on Ebay or many online shops for $80/set or so.

Everyone has their preference in brand names though so get what you like.

I've got alpine components in my rear deck and polk/momo components in my front doors, both sound amazing, but I fell the polk sound better, have heard the jbl and mb quart components, both sound great as well!
