speakers

Which 6 1/2 speakers are the best? SPL, Sound Storm, Pyramid, Pyle, Power Acoustik, Phoniex, Legacy, Lanzar, or Audio Pipe. Thanks for your time.

sorry to break it to ya, but those are all junk brands. if you're not lookin to spend too much, look into infinity, alpine, or polk.

He's right. Chances are thats what you saw in a pawn shop? A lot of pawn shops buy them new from a whole saler just to fill out their stock. Take the extra money and get the infinity speakers if you ask me. I have them in my car, and they pound hard. They even come with the 6 1/2 to 6 3/4 adapters.

As far as those brands you've mentioned, the stock speakers are actually pretty decent. I doubt any of those would sound better.

Infinity=awesome. I got mine for $150 used (1 pr 6x9s, 1pr 6.5s), and they're sweet. 200W RMS, it's awesome.

neither audio pipe and power acoustics are "junk".not as an insult but someamericans just stay stucked on alpine,infinity,wich are good companies..but for the money they cost....audiopipe gives great bass in subs..*** in speakers the bad thing is that they get distortioned very quickly

if they're not "junk" then why do they get distorted very quickly? power acoustik isn't horrible, they do make a few decent amps and accesories. audiopipe also makes some pretty good accesories, as well. i actually have a 4-gauge audiopipe wiring kit running through my car and a 2.4 farad power acoustik cap.

but, personally i would not use their speakers or subs. anyways, i wasn't really talking about subs in my original post. i was talking about the 6.5"/6.75" speakers for the lancers.

and, i'm not one of those "americans stuck on alpine, infinity, etc". i would much rather own a nice set of Adire Kodas or Focal Polykevs then the Infinity's i currently have, it's just that i'm not financially set to take the plunge yet.

Blah Blah Blah, Ebay. go that route and you will save funds and get better sshhiitt. IMO, i would rather have any of those against stock.

If you want to run with the big boys stay away from those brands.

As i have said time and time again, you have to study what you think you would like then find out what you want vs what you are willing to pay. Those two questions will keep you from buying a pawn shop quality system. And normally cost a bit more, i paid for 2 or 3 systems in my first car before i knew what it was that really wanted. you dont have to make that same mistake.

My advice is to save up a little bit more money whily your trying to figure out what you want then once you have enough money for what you REALLY want, then get that. listen alot read alot then buy.

Lance mate, dont worry that "americans stuck on alpine, infinity, etc" quote pissed me off too.

race_superstar: I would love to compare your system with mine
