rattle

I know we have been over this topic about 100 times, but
I just had my system installed and it rattles like a *****.
I dynamated the trunk and I still have a vibration off the trunk right along the bottom of the rear window where it meets the trunk. Any suggestions???????????

First your could try point the box forward and as far forward as possible, next where the back speakers are on the decklid, you can try either removing them to let air into the car, or you could change the 6 1/2s with say 5 1/4's which also allows some air into the car and mite help reduce the noise..

In all my years of car audio (6) I have never been able to fully stop the rattle from the liscence plate...grow to either drown it out or love it.

Dynamat the back of the plate. Add 2 screws to secure the bottom of the plate, have a shop do this. Then buy some foam-rubber weatherstripping(1/2" thick) from your local hardware store and place that behind the plate over the dynamat.

Dynamat only works on solid surfaces, since you car consists of pieces which are placed together like a puzzle and is not solid dynamat is much less effective you need to fill alll the gaps seperating these pieces to make dynamat work for you which requires a lot of work.

k..about the license plate..get some cardboard..some really thick cardboard. tear off a piece and slide it up near the bolts of the back license plate. this pretty much does what that dynomat license plate thing does with almost no cost. just a quick tip for you guys
