Need help with tweeters in EVO

I'm in the process of installing components in my car. For some reason I can't get the factory tweeters out. Any suggestions? And yes I tried searching first.

what exactly are you having problems with? The pillars or getting the tweeters unscrewed?

It's not a problem. I was having trouble with the front screws, but was able to get them out with a little elbow grease and ratchet. I had to fabricate mounts for the new tweeters, but they went in fairly easily.

They can be very tight, I had to really wrench at mine to get them undone at first!

Do you have any pictures of the 8's?

I'm doing a JL XR 653 which is a 6.5, 3, and a tweeter...I like thos pillars...imaging must be beautiful...are they very obtrusive?

You've got my thinking of doing the 3/tweet in the A pillar and then a 6.5 in kick...damnit!!!

Did make those pillars, or did you buy them somewhere?

I dong kicks as well with my MB quart QSDs and 8s in the rear deck. I have already had the tweeter pods custom made to fire in towards the cabin a little better.
