The only way to have them showing it to put them in back and leave the cover off....

I agree with dorphat, that is the only way to leave it exposed

as a rule of thumb sound from in front of you sounds better. the cars that win the big sound quality comps have all speakers in front of the driver, even the sub. this is because sound from in front of you just plain sounds better than sound form behind. that is also why concerts are always set up with the speakers in front, not in back. so the speakers will sound better up front. and you can either build a custom kick panel or customize your door panel to get those speakers to show.

think about which direction your ears are pointed towards.

I have mine set up with the 2 fronts, and a sub. I pulled out the rear speakers, to allow airflow from the trunk (sub). This lets the bass be much clearer. Also, having a sub in the trunk with speakers on the rear deck will only cause them to distort, as that is the weakest point and the air tries to flow through the speakers.

Those are actually pretty cool looking, especially with the clear grills.

You must look pretty funny. My ears point out to the sides.

I still think it sounds best when front and rear speakers are used. I don't care what wins the SQ contests.

For sound quality put them in the front if you want them showing back is best.
