Rockford Fosgate Support?? Easy? Hard?
Anyone had any dealings with RF Customer Support and returning items for warranty work?
I just bought some P162s component speakers just over 30 days ago and the left side is defective and all distortion and waffling in the mids. I had that side taken out today so I could ship them.
If anyone has had dealing with RF are they easy to work with or difficult?
fyi, the installer said that the cone was sticking or the cross over was bad, yet when hooked up to the stock speaker it sounded ok. The speaker itself looks flawless and is rated for 60/120 RMS/Peak watts and I only had an un-amplified deck with 45x2 watts pushing it. I managed not to blow the stock 18 watt speakers for 2 years and I get this in a month. :\
Anyways.. as a rule of tumb.. always get that warranty replacement deal these places offer
no matter if you think you could never screw it up.

I had them installed on 7/13 it is now 8/27. Best Buy was not very cooperative policy wise. I suggested to them that they do that and It's my fault for not going in earlier since this has been going on for about a week or so I just work odd hours and this is the first appointment I could get.
btw, how would under powering the speakers do them damage?
