i think omar went with the emanage before the aem... not forsure on that though. Cant recall their s/n but there a few on here that have used it... might want to ask in the FI or run a search(run advanced or you will get a lot of evo hits)

rock said the reason he suggests using the Split second box is because it is more simple to use and understand vs the emanage

yeah but he is already stage 2... im guessing he is going for high hp... so he would probably need the expandability of the emanage to do what he wants, instead of just a/f tuning

^ very true, so basically its split second for easy modification, and emanage for going ***** out

well

1. w/ the emanage does ur idle "hunt" or does it stay constant like it does stock

2. did u have a hard time w/ tuning the car

3. do u have bigger injectors, hows the car running w/ the bigger injectors and the emanage, good?

mainly the funky idle im concerned w/ and if the car is good performance wise and if u have driven it in cold weather and how it is in that

n e thing u wanna warn me about the emanage i should be aware or advised about

Well first i do have bigger injectors (460cc injectors from an rx7). Before installing the bigger injectors the idle was perfect even felt better than stock but this may be my imagination. With the larger injectors the idle is lumpy sometimes and sometimes it idles perfect, i haven't figured out what the deal with it is yet. honestly i have only spent about 1-2 hours total with my emanage and wideband tuning, but it is not hard to tune. I live in colorado so my car has been through warm and cold it doesn't really have an effect on the car other than i have noticed the car runs slightly leaner cold weather about .2-.3 afr.

k coo, where abouts in colorado...

r u running the RRM kit, how much boost r u running, does the idle ever hunt(if u dont know what that means pls ask, some ppl dont know when i ask them) for idle w/ the bigger injectors in colder weather, do u think it would run better w/ 370cc injectors, maybe 460 is too hardcore....

n e thing else u wanna warn me about

what did u get in ur kit, im getting

communications software and laptop cable for advaced features; harness must be spliced into ecu

Im in Westminster. i am not running the RRM kit. By the idle hunting i assumed you meant it doesn't sit steady, in my case it will be at about 750-800 then drop down to about 600 and then go back up and it conituously does this at idle, but only everyonce and a while. i think it may be due to the larger injectors, from what i figured having injectors twice the size of stock means they onyl need to fire half as much to ge the same amount of fuel for idle which is what makes it lumpy. just my guess though.

I have the Main unit a usb clone cable w/ software and homemade injector harness. I would also suggest a wideband, I have found adjusting settings in the emanage + or - 5 can change your AFR by almost 1 AFR which is the difference between running good and blowing your engine.

I would ask mark (IMAPUNKCLAIMER) He actually switched from RRM's split second piggyback to a greddy emange thanks to the help of Boe. He told me, it runs alot smoother and he likes it a lot better.
