Removed Ver.2 Piggyback

Today I took off the RRM Piggy Back Ver.2 and noticed no difference in power. After I had the PB on for about 2 months I added the RRM pulley and test pipe and now I notice no power loss without the piggy. I had to take it off because I could no longer pay an extra 10 cents on the gallon to drive, especially with summer coming up. I guess I'm going to sell the PB, so if anyone is interested PM me. I'll let her go for $350 OBO. It's only been used for 2 months.

Hmm. I always thought it was the most effective mod to. So you might be right about it not being put in right. I did everything the instructions say though. Maybe I'll try again and see if I notice a difference. I'm glad you said something, I was hoping someone would tell me I was crazy. Haha

Is that piggy for a Auto or Manual? I pay for 93 octane gas anyways. So i'm sort of used to it.

the piggy is for an auto. Paying for the gas wasn't the big problem. Paying for the gas and not noticing the power was what my problem with it was. I'll get some pictures on the T'd spots. It'd be nice if I could get it working correctly.

You can use 91 or 89 octane. Save a little cash. It will still be safe but maybe lose a little performance.

Hey guys, I re-installed the PB today. Engine died after 2 minutes of idle. Car Idled for 10 minutes and was driven for 20 minutes, then turned off and it started back up clean.

I took pictures of the wires and the connections as well.

I timed my 0-60 3 times and this is what I got

Without PB (AC on)- 11:340
With PB(AC on)- 11:404
With PB(AC off)- 10:583

I was running with 93 octane.

I know the times aren't all that accurate.
Am I supposed to gain more?

thanks

I thought you were supposed to T Into the connections not completely cut all the wires.

Only the white/red wire (AF) was supposed to be cut.

They are T'd. Only the red/white is totally cut. The wires look messy because I have installed/unintalled the PB over 5 times now.

i never recorded the difference in times...you'll notice it on the butt-dyno. make sure all of your connections are solid, then solder them and tape each one off so that they do not touch... the car shouldn't die at idle though. try resetting it and working from there. it usually revs to 4k and drops the first time you start it, that's an indicator that it's starting to learn.

Haha I'll PM you tomorrow or the next day to let you know. You'll be the first to know.

If anyone can let me know if I should be noticing a big increase in power or slight difference that would be great!

Thanks for all the help.

What's hooked up wrong? I followed the instructions, connections are being made. I just don't feel it like I think I should be. I sent it into you guys awhile ago and you reflashed it. I dunno. I'd love to get it working properly.
