Quick question...If I had a carpc then would that make the piggy equal to the SAFC...would that allow me to tune more on the fly since I would have a computer in my car that would allow me to view the tuning of the piggy.

^^^Why so many screen names 'Civilianrage'?

i like the piggy because you can control an additional(5th) injector independently. Also the ability to datalog lots on information is nice. I can datalog and then sit back and make a tune for my car while watching TV and drinking a soda. lol. different strokes, different folks.

What wideband are you using revolt4revolver? you ARE using one right? narrowband is for girly men.

Those two products are different in their own way.

If a person has no knowledge or the will to tune himself nor the desire to muck around the ecu harness, the PB is the way to go. All the homework is done for you.

If you like the flexibility of tuning on the fly, the AFC is the way to go. Yes, it has its drawbacks: funny O2 blue wire readings at times from certain makes and driver experience, hacking up the ecu wires and probable loose connections, and probably not makes the MOST HP gains.

Right now, amongst the mirage guys, we're R&D'ing some stuff to make some sort of ROM emulator, a G93 is non-flashible. Basically, do our own flashing if possible.

There will be no funny idle on the AFC, unless adjusting the A/F ratio correction near idle rpm incorrectly or wrongly setting the MAF/Karmon as hotwire or MAP.

CEL will not come on, unless changing your MAF setup.

It shouldn't, unless grossly off like +500 rpm or misconnection on the wire.

Another factor: visual cue. I know I can't really watch the road, glance at the speedometer, and the AFC all at the same time. When your brain finally processed all the necessary info, your AFC should be off like 100 rpm, that's it.

To Truly gauge it: have a second person with you. As you go through the rpm and reporting it out loud, the second person should confirm the reply. A few more rpm before making any final announcement.

As for setting, from experience, everyone's will be different, due to mods, climate, and driving style. Yes, there are some basic, but it should be done with some sort of O2 reading. Narrowband might not be 100% correct, but it's good enough for NA purposes.

As for running lean, I don't know how you guys are doing it. I never really encountered it on my G93; then, I did one for a lancer in Vero Beach . . . pig rich all across the powerband and virtually eliminated his back firing problem after tuning.

On my G93, my BEST power for O2 reading was .92 . . . .94 was at max allowable. .96 to .98 is stalling at idle. AT WOT with friends in the car, I had hit 1.13, wasting tons of gas w/ no power. The lowest setting on my O2 reading floated .82 to .85 . . . G94 might be slightly different since the lost of 500 rpm comapring to the G93.

My biggest tuning problem was between 4.4 to 5.2K rpm . . . ran rich at WOT.
