Has anyone noticed, during long idle times I.E. when your stuck in traffic..... or high temperatures, does your car idle at 1100 ???

I noticed that after i installed my PB....if i sit in traffic like at red lights or a packed freeway i'll start to idle at a higher rpm. ANd again if the weather is hot.

Does anyone know the reason why it does this????maybe an explaination will make me stop scratching my noggin and try to figure it out while i'm cursing the idiot in front of me

really???? mines never did this stock. that's wierd, well good to know at least someone's car does it stock. Maybe i never noticed it before on mines

 

Well mine is stock in terms of the ECU.

 

well here in hawaii its pretty much always hot but ive never experienced that problem. Only when i had the throttle body AC screw in too much and the butterfly was staying open a little. If youve got a lot of miles on your car you might just have to clean out the TB. Use some seafoam. Or if you dare you can try backing out the screw a little. But i really don't recomend doing it as i still have a problem with mines....

 

mine dips alittle lower than stock, people think that i have my car cammed because it idles lumpy sometimes
