RRM Piggyback tuning
RRM Piggyback tuning
Today me and a friend put my car on a laptop using a datalog. We noticed that timing was advanced by a lot and now we are thinking we are going to have to cut back on the timing (and of corse making a new map). Im thinking about getting the software for the piggyback and picking up a wideband while im ordering from rrm. Has anyone else found this out? and if so what did you do to get the car running at peak performance? The only thing i can think of is that the piggyback did it. Nothing against it, its doing wut is suppose to be doing. Conseverative. And what is this about getting something else from rrm just to mess with the timing? Shouldnt that be in the piggyback software? Thanks for all the help
So i was able to find out most of this stuff jsut by callen rrm and talking with people. but i am still unsure about timing. wut do i have to buy to be able to time it?
I have hurd something about a block box. If so how much?

The piggyback doesn't do anything to timing. The addition of that piece affected timing but it's not controlled by PB. The PB modifies the fuel map, and the ECU reacts with proper timing.
Well i called road/race and they knew what i was talking about when i said i had to retard my timing because it was "knocken". im thinkin about just taking off the piggy and me and a friend are going to try ecuflash and see what we can make of it. We have hurd some good things about it on here and are going to try it out. Ill keep yah informed.
