piggyback or emanage

Just wanted to get some input, I currently have just a short ram intake, and greddy exhaust. I plan on doin headers, intake manifold/throttlebody, and flywheel. Im not lookin for crazy amounts of power and these will probably be added as the time and money comes along so please dont tell me to just get a turbo, cause I can't afford it, and I put too many miles on my car w/ too much left on the loan to risk FI. My question is do you think I should go w/ rrm piggyback, or greddy emanage. Im not worried about the programming, I was just wondering if for what I plan on doing is there going to be any big imporvement by doing to emanage instead of the rrm piggyback.

Emanage will get you the post power out of your mods, but I just don't like the programming cuz I don't want to blow my engine from running lean. If you can do it and you're not afraid to spend the extra bucks.. run an emanage.

Emanage!!! It should be enough for you to play with and when you are ready for more buy the ignition harness and retard the timing. And if you will want to sell your lancer you can you this piggy back on any other Jap car.

definately the emanage. even if you don't know how to do it, plenty of people can help, or you can take it somewhere to be tuned (dyno shop)

frankly, a pb just isn't worth the money considering the limited applications and how much rrm demands for it (yikes!). you can't even do fuel mods with it

now, you say you won't continue modding now, but trust me, you will always want to do something, and no matter what that is, the emanage can keep up no matter the mod, the pb just can't keep up

there are benefits of both routes. the emanage there is a lot more adaptability for new mods, you can tune ignition timing, you can run both wideband and narrowband through it, you can sell it easier down the road, you can transfer it to another car, and you can extract more power with it. the rrm pb is a plug and play all you have to do is install it and not worry about it. price of the rrm pb is slightly more than buying a decked out emanage used, but with the emanage you would either have to tune yourself or pay a good amount ot get it dynotuned which will make it cost a bit more than the rrm pb, but i believe its worth it.

yea im def goin w/ emanage especially since I can get it cheaper than the rrm piggyback, I was just makin sure that the emanage would do more than the rrm piggy for the mods Im planning.

Just to be clear, you do realize that E-manage is a type of piggyback right? THe interfaces and available functions/add-ons may be different, but they operate on the same principle of misinforming the stock ECU of sensor readings, thereby altering outputs. Not that this is a bad thing, but it was a point I figured was worth clarifying. And yeah, I'd pick E-manage too.
