ROAD/RACE-2008 Lancer Piggy in Progress
I wanted to let everyone know that I just filled up the car. This was done with all city driving. Here are the averages and proof that it DOES increase gas milage.
Pre-piggy: 21-22 mpg (city)
After piggy: 25.5 mpg (city)
Thats an increase of 3.5 - 4.5 mpg.
Average fill up is 13 gallons so that averages out to about 52 miles MORE a tank after the piggy was installed.

I am very interested in getting a Ecu when the cvt version comes out. I was just wondering is there a way to put it in where there would be no cutting or splicing. i want one, i just want to be able to take it out when i bring my car to the dealer and i wouldn't want to damage any wires. is there a way to just like push the wire into the connectors and tape it up or are you not able to do that with what it connects too or not able to access the connectors. I would deffinately recommend making a plug and play version even if it costed more, which would include harnesses for a completely removable installation. like something where you plug it up in between the connections rather then cutting or splicing. i think a lot of people would be interested in it because most of them might not want to buy it for the same reason. Thanks and you can deffinately expect a pully and intake order from me pretty soon.
this has been covered in the piggy evaluation and in this thread.. you can use scotch connectors to clip into the OEM harness
as far as I know the piggy won't set off any bells when they scan your car, cause it can't go past OEM parameters
and it's relatively easy to hide the wires within the OEM harness and just hide the box.
honestly as a person IN the trade.. there is very few reasons I could think of that they would void your warranty over a piggyback as it can only function within the OEM ECU's guidelines.. ofcourse if they find out you went nuts on your timing or leaned your fuel to nothing and melted your pistons.. you might have an issue
