No and more importantly why would you want to? The evo engine is not even close to the same as what's in your lancer, the only thing they share is the displacement. It's also turboed so the map would be completely wrong anyways.

No because 1. it would be very difficult to do since the evo is nothing like the lancer, it has a completely different engine, additional sensors, different drivetrain, etc. that all require a different ECU and 2. there's no point in doing it, with the availability of reflashes and piggybacks you can do everything you need using the stock ECU.

You don't need to replace your ecu. Your best bet would be a piggy back or a reflash. Road Race sells a piggy back that comes with a base map on it so it is basically plug and play. There are also other boxes that would need to be tuned once installed. I'm not sure about the reflash so you will have to look that up on your own.

Lancer- SOHC, turbo would run 7-8PSI
Evo- DOHC, Mivec, 19PSI.

MAJOR difference in the tunes.

No replacement ECUs. You can get a piggyback unit (RRM, SAFC, Emanage), you can get a reflash (Works), or you can get a standalone setup.

What are you trying to accomplish? Give us some more/better details so we can help you.

I assume the WORKS re-flash torches any deals by the stealership correct? Where as the Piggy is removable. any benefit to the re-flash over a Piggy?

A reflash doesn't require splicing and it maintains all the factory function of the ECU. You can also raise the rev limiter and do other things with a reflash.

i personally like the reflash, you can adjust timing if you have right stuff were as piggy, you can only change the fuel maps.
ps i really wanna go standalone! haha, anyone have one up for sale?
