The rom i have is the one Steven was using on his turbo setup. The RPM values look realy low. Like the revlimit is only to 3400 RPM.

 

Are you sure your not looking at the stationary rev limit?

 

looks to me like its the rev limit right above the speed limit. its set at 3400 is that the stationary limit?

 

Stationary rev limit is when your sitting stationary. The rev limiter is what you hit at red line driving.

 

CAn someone please check my rom and tell me if the rev limit is set at the proper setting.

Pretty sure you can. Save your rom and try to flash it. Be sure to save your original rom.

No.... automatics MUST use a 512kb rom to control the transmission you can't just flash half of it and expect it to shift..

There should be no different operating parameter wise from the years so unless you're experiencing issues i'd say stick with it.

 

I'm running a auto rom (big maps) on my manual lancer and was able to go back. If your running a manual rom 256kb you might not be able to fit the 512kb into it. My stock rom can hold the 512kb but I'm a manual so I was able to squeeze into a auto. It might just be a 06 lancer thing? I have mostly oz parts as well even tho my car is a es. The 06 es lancer is just weird

 

Thats interesting that the later years will hold 512kb of data in the ecu.

However shin's car is automatic he can't run a manual rom in it. The code for the automatic transmission is in the later 256kb of the 512kb rom. So if you flash some random 256kb auto rom on it the pointer to the transmission is wrong and it will either cease to work or lock the transmission into the default fully locked in state which makes an effective engine stall.

Sorry, quite new to this forum. I'm currently working on my 2010 Lancer X 4B10 5MT, managed to read the ECU and checked the ROM ID in goldenevo.com, the ROM ID is 57370001. But somehow I couldn't open in ECU flash, where "unknown ROM image" error appeared. I believe this is due to there is no definition file for it.

Does anybody here has the definition for this? Highly appreciate for it.

Does the stationary rev limiter actualy work? because iv set my rev limits to 6500 and my stationary rev limit to 4000 and it won't stop at the desired rpm when im not moving in P or N? thanks
