Hard to drive your car without a ECU in it! It will definetly be out of commission until you get the ECU back from Works

That kinda sucks especially if I'm ordering from Canada. I wonder if I can order just an ecu from my dealer and send that to Works...that way I can swap the ecu back to stock whenever I need to bring my car in for maintenance/repairs...to avoid any warranty problems. It'll be one expensive mod at that point though

If you order it from a dealer don't choose the one your going often, I think they might find it pretty weird you need another ECu loll That way if something fail they won't void warranty..

If you finaly order it tell me how it's going, it's something I'm considering myself.

ive only been to my dealership once to get the reardoor fixed on that recall and ive had my car since May of 07.. and if u really need a car.. rent one for 3 days it will be a lot cheaper than buying a new ECU..

yeah... but it'll take longer than 3 days because he's in Canada... Customs has a way of jacking up delivery times...

Exactly, and if I have a spare I can always put it back in before I bring my car in for any work. I'm gonna call one of the dealers here tomorrow and find out how much it is.

We are officially doing mail in flashes for the '08 Lancer now. I know a few people called in and we were still fine tuning maps etc. and only doing drive in appointments, but you can send in your ECU's now. Normal turn around time is about 48 hours. If you overnight your ECU to us and we receive it in the first half of the day (before lunch) we can usually turn it around the same day via overnight shipping. Be sure to include a flash checklist from our website:

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
