looks like cRc`22 or someone he knows got a flash/tune yesterday.

Though the details of the parameters the flash was for have yet to be revealed... Like, what octane did he go with? What mods, if any, are on the car? etc.

That is wierd, I'd put the blame to it being PZEV, that steals ~13 of your HP right there.

Well we already knew around where the pzev would dyno, but it's not showing that much of an increase from where we stood before. I understand that different dynos can give you different results but this was a before and after.

So is the reflash pointless then?

no the reflash is not pointless.. exhausts for our cars are pointless and do basicly nothing but make noise.. the gas mileage has gone up.. i havnt used a half of a tank yet and ive drivin about 200 miles.. i might get a few more parts and go back and seee if they make a difference..

I would be really interested to see what gains you would get with the RRM Headers or the SRI? Besides the improved mileage, can you feel the difference in torque or power on the low end where we desperately need it?

If crc ever got the Road Race headers he sure as hell wouldn't tell anyone about it. He's had some choice words for their company. It'd shock the hell outta me.

babygotback, im thinking this reflash is exactly what the piggy is. You get modifications, tune it up, and reap the benefits. I don't see why this reflash is looking like it's a joke. surely it's not.

People wanna see the claimed numbers from them. I'd love to see a dyno of a person who did their reflash.

My PZEV header did NOT give me 13 hp. Sure i felt an amazing difference. But it wasn't anything that high. The stock piece sure does suck. That's for sure.

EVOLVE So your thoughts are that the flash and the piggy are gonna have similar gains? The pricing is similar for both.......Just not sure there is enough data out on the Works flash yet to come to any conclusions either good nor bad

They actually won't have similar gains. The piggy tricks the ecu, while the flash actually changes the ecu's settings. If one was to choose between both, a flash would be the way to go. The flash would help you get the best performance out of any part. According to this dyno, I just don't think that the parts he has modified in his car go well together.

sorta along the lines of what mezzedupdream said.

The piggy already has a set value that works to lean out the mixture of air/fuel. Either our car runs real lean or real rich but Rob and Brian told me this "too much of something" was modified. im thinking our cars run rich, that's what i think i recall anyway.

The flash is user-specific, so to speak. Depending on the parts you have this flash is the way to go to maximize the add-ons you've got.

But by the same token my piggy-back will be soon re-modified using a wideband so that i can tune my car with all the parts i have on it now. (headers, new v2 short-ram etc....)

So basically, you should see a bigger difference with the flash. From what i read these thing should make all the parts you have work in concert more effeciently.
