I understand that. You get what I mean though don't you? If you need an explanation, when you shift tiptronic the display gives you numbers for what "gear" your in. I understand that the CVT doesnt have gears but its just easier to say it that way.

Situation resolved with the CEL. I accidently received one of the older modules from the manufacturer. The new one works like a charm and I'm loving this module. EXTREMELY easy to install and you can feel the difference. Now I'm just waiting on the turbo =D for the cvt. Thanks to RRM for quick resolve of the issue. I'll try to get a video of 0-100 mph with and without the module up in a few days.

Good grief! 300?! You might want to have that checked out...that's why there's a warranty.

Still have not heard or seen any real benefits of this "magical" timing module........... The only people that seem to give good feed back are the one's that are the guinea pigs, and get the item for free or a reduced rate= biased opinion!! Would like to see a before and after 1/4 mile time, or a 0 to 60 time difference; at least something to make this module that much more tempting to purchase........ not going to go off a young, uneducated person's "butt dyno"

Not to get too much off topic, but just stopped by my local Mitsu dealer to pick up some oil filters, and the service manager mentioned to me that Mitsubishi USA is looking at selling Mugen aftermarket parts for our Lancers since the demand is now there to keep up with Honda. He said he has not heard anything in the last 3 months or so, but maybe someone else on here has some contacts to confirm this possiblilty of some real aftermarket parts from Mugen for the Lancer?! Keep our fingers crossed!!

Yeah, valid points.
Thats why when I install mine I´ll do it secretly so when my brother or my sister drive the car I´ll wait and see if they notice a difference in perfomance. Besides trying to race other stock cars around my area, but so far, not been the case. I asked one neighbour but he declined.
As for the advanced timing ignition mod itself, from what I have read from other forums and car brands, it works.

I'm not guinea pig. Paid full price for mine and have never met any of the RRM guys in person. I'll try to get a video up.

The older modules had different codes on them that set off the CEL code that I had.

Timing Module Vids

Ok so here are the two videos I took with and without the timing module. These were taken with my old timing module so the CEL is still on when the module is plugged in. Notice how the RPMS gain considerably faster after 4k RPM or so with the module. Also its not very flat around here so I tried to find the best place possible. Also keep in mind I drive a cvt. Enjoy =)
