We have decoded most of the new lancer models, what we call the CJ model. There is currently only one USA model vehicle we are still working on the decoding for the major tuning features.

I don't have a definition file built for that rom yet. I will get one built but we don't give out definition files. I can provide a stage 1 flash tune for it if you want, and provide a public definition file which will allow you to be able to flash it back to your ecu.
If you want more advanced tuning, you can datalog and send the logs to me and we can build a modified rom for you according to your datalogs.

I'm a little confused here...
What's required to pull a copy of the stock ROM off the the ECU?
I wasn't aware of any Lancer compatible cable or datalogging devices yet.
I though that cool stuff was still only available for evo's, but I guess I wasn't really following it that closely.
At least ones available to the public for purchase.
Do you have any links, additional information, or pricing for any of this?
Edit: your link doesn't work btw. It requires login and we're unable to register (probably a region thing).
And you should probably apply to be a forum vendor before you start trying to sell products/services to members, the mods will be up your ***.

Reading the Rom is not an issue.
But the problem is that there arent Definition files available that will allow us to edit and write them back ourselves...
Maybe some of the EVO guys can help if they have time?

You mentioned about data logging. Do you have a config file to start data logging on a USDM 2008 Lancer GTS CVT?
I'd like to know what are available tuning you have after the basic tuning.
Please let me know more about your available tuning service.
I'm often on 9GLancers.

The only equipment will be the OpenPort 2.0 Traxtrix cable.
I am having to pay someone to make the definition file for me, and then we need to test it on a vehicle. I could probably be bribed easily enough to sell out the definition file once we complete it on our vehicles in Australia. Once we do some true back to back tuning with it, I will update and let people know.

How much for the definition file?

Sorry we won't be selling full definition files. Too much work goes into getting these researched and definied properly, and if we start releasing them it will only be a matter of time before it is released onto the internett and eveyrone has copies of them.
I could provide you a basic definition file with fuel and ignition only if you wanted to, but if you wanted to do this best speak via pm's

So a friend and co-worker of mine just recently got an 08 Lancer ES which is the 4B11 2.0L MIVEC engine in it. He knows it's never going to be as fast as my car but I offered to see if I could do some tuning magic on his ECU to extract some extra HP. He was planning on a basic exhaust that didn't open things up too much as well as a cold air intake setup of some sort.
As for the engine tuning I figured if he switched to 93 octane over the current 87 octane tune I could get more aggressive with the timing advance and verify that he was at the proper AFR throughout the engines RPM range. I'm assuming that best power is made around 12.5 AFR but I would have to get him strapped to the local STM dyno to verify changes made. Changes to the MIVEC side could also benefit HP slightly but likely it will be more for tweaking the available torque in the low to mid range but we will see. I've got 3 hrs of Dyno time credit so spending an hour to get his car dialed in would be fun.
I have the Tactrix 2.0 cable and EcuFlash / EvoScan software of course and it sounds like there are a few vendors starting to figure out the definition files. Since they have invested time and research into figuring them out I can understand them being kept under lock and key for now. I'll probably get a ROM dump of his car over the next few weeks and see what I can figure out myself but Fuel, Timing, and MIVEC are the three I'll be concentrating on initially.

flashing
i have already flashed my ecu many times with evo x maps and ralliart maps. once i narrow down the timing and fuel diffrences it shouldnt be a problem. when i flashed the evo x map the car ran fine for about 2 mins then started knocking so theres work to be done there.

what makes you think that's a good idea?
