exhaust question.

which is better for 09 gts? GReddy SE or ti-C. and where can i get them cheap, new or used.

Go to youtube and search for both exhausts and sound clips.

I have the Ti-C and i am very happy with it. It gives it a great aggressive look and the tone is very deep,the vids don't hold a candle to the actual note this exhaust creates.

The SE is more of a stock looking muffler, sound is good too from what i heard.

If you have **** cops in your area that will pull you over for having a large exhaust i would say go the SE way. If you like the look of a huge 4 inch pipe get the Ti-C.

As you can see, i love to have a potato launcher at the back of my car. Great exhaust in my opinion and when you downshift at about 2k-3krpm you will hear a little gurgle and a burp which sounds great. It will almost make you think you are spitting flames out the back. Install is easy, did it all myself in about an hour start to finish.

thank you for the advices but do you know if it is true that the ti-c tip will turn all blue after awhile and it will also melt our stock bumper?

Does the tip turn blue and why?

The very tip, the blue part is what is called "heat treated", basically they fry the very tip and turn it blue, this is a property of titanium. Now everyone knows the Ti-C runs hot, so if it reaches a high enough temp it will turn blue, but you can order a new tip from Greddy.

Now I have had this exhaust for about a year, and i do a lot of high way driving, so im at ~3500rpm for an hour, two at times. I have NOT had any problems yet, but highway driving and track driving is totally different. Driving on the highway the engine is at 3.5k rpm but the speed is also ~120-130km/h, lots of wind, cooling properties etc. At the track you are constantly in the 3k-7.5k rpm range and not a lot airflow so if you are going really hard on a hot day there is a possibility of it reaching the high temp and turn blue. But like i said, from everyday driving you have no worries.

Second, as stated before the Ti-C runs hot, and the first versions melted the bumper because it was too close to it. Now there is a version 2 that hangs about 1/2 inch lower and i have had no problems at all again. For the first month i was paranoid and i always checked my bumper for anything after a long drive but nothing. No smells, no discoloration, no melting/warping nothing. (For the first couple days you will smell the exhaust burning in).

i really think that the ti-c is better, plus it sounds so much better and more meaner than the SE, thats why i got the ti-c... but its on your decision

if you get the ti-c it wont melt the bumper cause the exhaust be touching the bumper anyways

I have the TI-C on my GTS id say its the way to go, perfect sound, perfect performance upgrade (as an exhaust is concerned there is not much hp there but is noticeable)
