SRI that is enclosed like this AEM EVO X intake



Why don't the engineers design a damn enclosed box for our intakes? I think this would definitely sell if they were to make something like this.

Because the cost to design one and make one wouldn't be worth it given the power gains over a standard cold air intake. Lancer owners are cheap, why would they spend the extra money only to gain an extra 2 HP?

also it would require a battery relocation kit...

another option is the k&N sri

another option is the takeda sri if you dont have the 2.4L engine

no. i've seen lancer owners having to wait to save up for a part that cost $100-200

most people complain about the lack of hp gain from mods that cost 300-400 dollars.

No but do you think it makes good business sense to design, build and stock intakes for the few people that are willing to spend 500$ for 5 HP when a 200$ intake gains 4 HP?

The takeda is a good lookin' sri, with decent gains from what I've read/heard.
