Enclosed trailer car loading

I have been contemplating upgrading the new trailer to one that has an Escape Door. The dealership is nice enough to let me upgrade without penalty.

How is everyone loading the cars into an enclosed trailer?
Drive it in?
Get out through the window?
Winch? Are you seating on the driver seat, or do it from out the car?

Either drive or winch it in depending on the state of drivability. As to how to get out, in my 18ft enclosed I just open the door and get out. If you're too big to do that, you may just have to go out the window

When using a winch do you have to be inside the car? Can you do it from the outside? Would it guide car correctly?

Sometimes, i'd get one with a remote (wireless pref) and steer it in. But most times it'll go in pretty straight if you're pulling from straight ahead so position your wench inline with your tow hook. On the escape door, i've heard it makes the trailer a lot more "flexible" at speed since it's such a large chunk of the supporting wall so most people just pop out of their cars however they can in favor of a "stronger" trailer.

My 24ft enclosed has a side door. I open that up, and I am able to open my car door after I drive it in.

Pretty simple.

Thanks for the input. Seems like getting the Escape Door to get in and out is the way to go. I will get the winch later on if needed just in case the car is broken down.

I have a 8ft wide, and 20ft long enclosed trailer, with a side door, and a drive up ramp. I can open my door after pulling my car in with no problem.

my trailer is 8' 6" OD and it is very easy to get in and out of the car door. i usually load it off set a couple inches to the right so the door can open more.

if im on a downhill slope i drive it in, if its flat or uphill i use the winch ... its easier on the clutch. i drive up until the rear tires are just on the ramp and then winch the rest of the way. occasionally it requires a slight steering wheel correction but it usually can be pulled right in with out touching the car

Yes, you absolutely want an escape door on your trailer especially to be able to strap down the front of the car once it's loaded.

I climb out the window in my 24ft enclosed. Though if I park it slightly to the right then I can squeeze out the door barely. But my car is low and the door hits the inner fender.

I usually have a friend help me guide me into the trailer when I load, and allways find help at the track when I would pack up. Using a winch is good as well just use the steering wheel to guide it.

J hooks in the front on the subframe, and axle straps in the rear.
