WinRAR has a 30-day trial for their program:

What I would suggest is pull your stock ROM and write your stock ROM back to your ECU to ensure you have full functionality before you begin tuning.

It is possible that your cable has an issue. On AktiveMatrix there is a comment that the unlocker has been tested with EcuFlash v1.31 and earlier. You might want to give v1.29 a try and see what happens.

It's because after v1.29a, EcuFlash changed the way it interprets the endian values of the ROM. I'd actually like to get everyone on the newest version of EcuFlash and permanently change the definition files to reflect that.

After v1.29a, all the endian values were interpretted as "big" and not "little". With v1.29a and before, they were mixed. So if you open your ROM in a newer version of EcuFlash, the table data will look right, but the axis values will be jibberish. With the table open, you would go to Edit > Edit Map Definition. Then you would click the Scalings button and change the scaling (fuel tables use Load and RPM) for each axis. When the Scaling Manager opens up, find the axis in the list (Load and RPM for fuel tables) and click Edit. Then change the data endian value to "big". Now you will see the axis values showing up correctly. You will need to do this for Metadata of each table.
