ECUFlash and Outlander?

I wonder if the ECUFlash can work with the Mitsubishi Outlander?
Especially as in Europe we have the Outlander in a Turbo Ver. which basically using the Evo 8 detuned engine, however the ECU is the same Outlander ECU and at this time EcuTek don't support Outlander ECU and no stand along ECU is available to this car

I wonder if anyone tried it with the Outlander?

And I urge the developers to make the ECUFlash to be available for the Outlander, as the Outlander Turbo is so popular in Europe and many owners looking for the solution as soon as possible!

Thanks
Ran

I replied in the OpenECU forum, but I think its possible to extract the Rom... but I don't know of anyone who has tried it yet.

No harm would be done to the ECU in trying to read it out. Post the ROM on openecu.org and it should be possible to locate the maps for it.

bump for information on this. Can the Evo VIII ECU be used in a 03 outlander since it uses a 4g64 and if I were to put the 4G63 head on it.

No it cant be used. Outlander has different CPU and different wirings. Also it's not that easy to read / write it. Be careful, or you can brick your ECU.

Why not use the factory Outlander ecu? From what i've seen, it can get the job done with a bit patching. Have you seen the English Racing Evolander thread?

i have seen it, i figure it this way, If 03 outlanders use a 4g64, and a 3g eclipse uses the same, then their ecu's should be the same. If they are the same, 3g eclipse and Evo viii's use the same ecu pinout basically with a few sensor pins missing on the 3g harness side. I am awaiting answers from them, and i want to convert to manual 5 speed as well.

the US 4G64 Outlander ecu is different than the European ! US 4g64 may have same ecu like Evo . But the Euroean 4g64mivec and 2.0 ( 4G63 turbo ) have a so rare ecu .
Chip MH8202F and can not flash because the checksum problems !

The JDM outlander has a 4G63T & 7202F ECU, which is 100% flashable.

im in the air with this, if i get a 03 4g64 and do a full evo 2.4 and 5 speed manual swap, i will need a evo ecu right? and if I get a 05 4g69 its the same concept right?

Has anyone tried to log the Oulander turbo ? We managed to download the ROM with MMCflasher but failed to run a log. We were told that the ECU is on normal OBDII EFI protocol but we could not download a log with Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 and EvoScan 2.9. Does anyone know if it will work with OpenPort 1.3?
By the way. EcuFlash worked with stock ROM - we could open some parameters such as AFR, Ignition timing, Injectors scaling. Maf smoothing ect.

The Sportronic ROM is around, that is how we are currently tuning Jeff's Evolander. You can flash an Evo ROM right to the ECU and the only downside is you lose trans control if its an auto but it would be fine for a 5 speed swapped Lander.

So by you saying this, I can wire in the 3 port BCS by adding the two wires once I decide to swap to a 5 speed and put the Evo rom into the outlander ecu?
