help with iac valve...
hmmm, well i think a used one should go for about half the price of a new one.. and that link i posted it goes for about $130.... i dont wanna sound like im low balling though so i really have no idea...lol

I had the same rpm fluxuation problem... It wasn't the iac... Start ur diag with pulling the vacuum hose off the egr valve plug it off by putting a bolt into it... Drive it for a couple hours see of it acts up... If it doesn't then it is the vacuum contol valve for the egr valve... Take that off and clean it out with carb or brake cleaner... That should fix ur problem... It fixed mine...

Thanks guys but I'm not going off what people tell me they think it is... The computer is telling me its the iac valve.. My cel is on because of it.. I've had a diagnostic check done on it already.. And I don't think the computer lie..lo
Well just trying to help u out **** for te lancer isn't cheap but u don't have to listen to what I had wrong with mine but just try one thing there is a vacuum line on top of the intake manifoldshould have a green line on it if it's still the factory one pull that off of it stops acting up then the problem ur having is what I explain earlier cause I have the MIL light on also reading iac...... Try it all before u throw parts what I been taught in shops... Update us on why u find put then... Good luck bro

what's the curb idle speed for your car? from a cold start run it till the fan cycles check the rpm after the fan shuts off. if it's lower or higher than suggest curb idle. ajust the biss screw to the curb idle. take it for a drive see if thats better.
