That is my bigest issue. I want a good quality build with good quality parts. I don't want to buy a cheep chines turbo that I will have to replace the berrings a year later. I'm not 2 concerened about price because again I want quality. I have done a good bit of research and it looks like it will be a challenge, but will be well worth it in the long run. I'm gonna do more research and then research again. I'm gonna double check the components of the kits I've found and hopefully I find something, that is deffinately worth my time and money

There's a sticky in the forced induction about turbo kits.. Maybe that will help you decide good luck deciding dude! Maybe go bolt ons for now but if you have the money do some researchs and make some calls.

It is your money, but if you want to pay for a way overpriced turbo kit with no fuel management, by all means, go ahead. Just seems like a waste. For the price they charge for their kit, you could build something way more badass. And you dont have to get a "chinese" turbo (youd be surprised how many big names in the industry are made in china). Get a garret or a turbonetics or whatever you want, the skys the limit. Anyways, the choice is yours and I know when someones set in their ways, you CANNOT steer them another direction. So do what you want. But custom is the way to go.

RRM is great if you have no idea what you're doing, they're the Best Buy of car parts (ie. you bring the money, they'll set you up with what they think you need). This is both a good thing and a bad thing. If you buy an RRM kit, you can call them and ask as many questions as you want and you always have someone to fall back on if something goes wrong. However, you pay for that and you don't necessarily get the best setup possible.

If money is not an issue, then why even make this thread?

Not everyone who turbos their Lancer races, hell, I suspect most don't. Generally what kills transmission is shock load, ie. flat-foot shifting and launching.

I am turboing mine I dont plan on racing, hell I MIGHT take it once to the track just to see my 1/4 mi times. If money is not an issue and you are wanting it asap go grab the rrm. However I dont mine taking the time to build my own. Not only does this save me money but gives me the time to understand how my setup works thus keeping me from blowing anything (like thinking all you gotta do is turn up the boost for more power) and knowing what is needed if I ever decide to go even further. Just for an Idea here is my list so far of part from the first page of my thread. This includes any and all taxes and shipping charges I have spent as well.

The only problem that I see with the RRM kit is that it isnt a complete kit. When Ozboyee bought his, they said it was complete without the turbo and header because he made a deal with them to get the price lowered. But do you know what else was missing? All the stuff for fuel management. IE injectors, fuel pump, etc. If you want to do it right, do it right. Not half assed. IMO, fuel management is one of the most important parts of a turbo setup. Its not a complete kit. I would do the research, save yourself some cash, and have a badass COMPLETE turbo setup like so many other lancer owners. 03lances definitely has things figured out and his kit will be WAY more reliable because he has used alot of that cash to strengthen his motor as well as the turbo and is still at half the price. IE he will have ARP hardware and other quality parts. Either way, if moneys not an issue, buy what you want. But I would rather see you do it right. Just my $0.02.

i guess thats sort of true i think Rob did tell me no fuel management and to just get an FPR... which will be fine for now... Call RRM and see what their actual kit does come with. Cause im not actually sure...

you are right sir.
i agree with everyone. just get a custom turbo app if u want it to be cheap.
cons: tons of research.
now if you really dont care about the price then go ///RRM.
cons: very pricey.

right now, im still researching about tuning - which youll need for sure when you go turbo.
when im done with that, ill research bout turbocharging.

it may come with a rising fuel pressure regulator... that would make sense since they set the boost at 6 psi...
