Heres what i did and you should do the same, first i relocated the battery to the trunk cost me a whole 20$ to do that. By relocating the battery it frees up alot of room under the hood and reduces the weight up front in the engine bay. also i dont know if you have looked at most of the intakes but the filter is usually mad close to the exhaust manifold which isnt good. i bought the weapon-R secret intake and its hands down the best ive ever used, if you go on ebay you can find it for about 200$ shipped, and its the only intake that ive seen that you can position once you have relocated the battery and the filter sits behind the headlight. i have tested the intake temps and the temp draastically dropped when moved away from the exhaust manifold. To each his own though but i did this to my car and im just passin the idea on to you and anyone else who wants to do it.

I got the Injen CAI and love it. I also got the hydro filter cover which was another like $25. it waterproofs the filter so water does not get inside. the pipe runs down the drivers side and goes right in front of the drivers side wheel. if you have a GTS model you will have to relocate the oil cooler (brackets included) te instructions say to take off the front bumper. i dont recommend that. what i did was take off the wheel and housing and got back in there that way. itook me about an hour and a half but thats because i was taking my time (BEER) and first mod on a car i have done (I use to mess with sport bikes) but it was simple.

Was that hard to install..?? I'm kinda thinking SRI since it's less work to clean the filter and less chance for hydro lock (I live in Vancouver, where here are alots of rain...)

Thanks !!

dun think that hydrolocking will be an issue, unless u guys get floods alot, but just a note, k&n typhoon, no need for labour, pretty easy install diy. u probably dont need any labour for any of them but injen will be more trouble since u gotta relocate the battery and stuff

with the Injen CAI you do not have to relocate the battery (unless you want too) but the GTS has a oil cooler in front of the drivers side wheel where the filter will be going. Injen supplies the bracket for you to relocate that a little for the filter to fit. I installed it and it took about an hour and a half. i DID NOT remove the bumber like the directions said too. i just went in through the wheel well. pretty easy really. just wanted to clear things up.

yeah if you remove the wheel and just go through the welll its not bad i took my bumper off the first 3 times i did this (had the 2.0 intake installed it, uninstalled it then installed my 2.4l) but now when i dust off my filter i just go through the wheel well.
