this is true and what i had figured as well since i think i have exhausted pretty much all the possibilities.

im working on them now as we speak. the only thing left that im going to try is use the lower part of the 501 and then the uppers of the 399. basically making a hybrid between the 2.

03lances is running the stock 399 MAF values and is up and running, which means that you'll need to circle back around to adjusting your latencies. Get 'em dialed in and you should be good to go. Best of luck getting it purring like a kitten!

i tried them today and it still wont idle worth anyhting other than low to mid 10's. i cant for some reason after all that i have tried to get my idle out of the 10's and back to where they should be. is there another setting in hte ecu for idle or somehitng? got a couple of mechanics thinking that it might be an IAC but it idled fine with my stock lancer and 501 maf.

There are tables in EcuFlash for idle RPM at neutral and idle RPM in drive. You can adjust that if you want, but it shouldn't be necessary. Can you post a screenshot of your current latencies?

I dont know how much this would matter but I have all stock piping from an evo 9, the only difference is I have a cone filter instead of the stock airbox. Stock 9 intake pipe, UICP, FMIC, LICP, evo 9 bov, and stock recirc pipe, plus i have ported my intake manifold.

Could timing play a role? Did you cut your ecu wires or swap the pins? If you have to maybe swap in your stok ecu and tune for the 399 then plug those values into your evo ecu.

i swapped the pins since i finally figured out how.

the only thing that is really different with my setup is that im running all injen pipes (upper, lower, and hard intake) with the evo 8 stock bov and a 4" filter and my rrm ported im and tb.

and i never looked at timing i left that all stock from the evo base setup for the 94170008 rom.

With my evo ecu I pasted over my timing maps for like the first couple collumns, so the idle would have the same timing as my stock ecu. Never ran with the stock evo timing so not sure if this would matter but maybe its worth a try

ok so i changed the first couple of columns on the timing still with no luck. adjusted the BISS screw today and its still rich but at least it will idle. working on getting my frot o2 sensor back in this weekend and i will then go from there.

the only other thing that i can think of that it might be is my IAC, but idk. ill have to remove it to see and those arent cheap!

Wierd its gotta be something with your ecu or your maf itself you would think? I mean those are the only things you changed before the issue. idk
