Fuel trims and load issues

So installed my 399 maf and still have my stock ecu (waiting on another evo 8 ecu)
I have kept the overall 03 evo 8 maf scaling the same just been adjusting the whole scale up or down. However my idle fuel trims are not registering it has stayed the same around 5.7 which I know is off because I can see my o2 feedback (short term fuel trim) at idle is pegged at -25%!!!!!, if I cruise through town in 4th around 30 it will start adjusting the idle trim but at idle nothing. Highway cruising adjusts the mid trim fine. Also my ecuload is wayyyyyy up going up to 150 when I stab my throttle what am I missing?

your idle is too rich.
lower the MAF values in the appropriate idle range. maybe reflash and reset the ecu to reset the trims?

and your MAF size is too large, lower it and wait for the Evo ecu until you use the Evo maf size value

Thanks 4g94T, havent actually purchased another ecu yet dealing with a few individuals to get one. I think I will drop my maf values back to the 03 evo stock values and continue with latency adjusting to get my fuel trims right. Hopefully this will bring idle trim values where they need to be. Any other advice anybody?

So I dropped my maf scaling back to stock 03 evo and was able to log idle trims again. Getting +1.2 idle and -4.4 cruise, good enough for me until I get my evo ecu. However, using this maf scaling is giving me load values as if I have an evo ecu, as in high of 158 load!!!! Not much tuning I can do at WOT right now and anything in boost drops my afrs to 10

Hey you guys get that loopy idle problem or is it just me. Don't mean to threadjack ya but i figure since your working on the idle latencies that might be able to help me out too....You mind posting up your maf values? Im using the stock maf with a evo maf plate so mines will likely be different from yours but im just curious. The way i got mines set up now is idle set screw backed way the fawk out, idle set to 1000-1200 and it always revs up and down. Watching the afrs i see them register like 20 something meaning no fuel going in. Gota be latencies right?

Sounds to me if your running the stock maf but using an evo maf plate you want to bump your numbers up in the low maf scaling range to compensate for the extra air being let in now so it will add more fuel.
