That little hose that connects to the side of the intake tube?

So, I was just curious...there is a little hose that connects to the side of the intake tube...what is that thing and what does it do? If it were somehow pinched or restricted in some way, could that restrict HP (or cause other issues)?

hes talking about the crankcase intake hose by the oil fill cap, not PCV. not sure exactly what its called. and no you should not cut off that air flow

yea its crankcase intake, what ever you do dont kink it or cut off air flow to that.

The hose you are speaking of is technically part of the PCV system. It supplies the crankcase with filtered air that mixes with the blow-by and then is re-introduced through the PCV valve into the intake manifold at high engine load situations.

So no don't remove that hose or pinch it.

I capped the end on my CAI and put one of those small cone filters strait on the crank case. Heard that creates better air flow plus looks so much better than a hose haha.
