Sri mpg?

I've been considering getting an SRI for my 2010 GTS M/T, whether it be the Injen or RRM... But I was wondering how it will effect the fuel efficiency?
For those that have it, how has it changed your MPG?

If you are looking at efficiency do not add any performance mods to your car.

It's not really that Im worried about the efficiency.. Im just interested in how much it'll decrease.

Depends on your driving style. I noticed I tended to accelerate faster and more often just to hear the SRI so my MPG went down. But as a general trend you shouldn't lose any MPG just from an intake. Some intakes will give you a boost in MPG but i find them to be few and far between.

Intakes tend to boost MPG. I broke my "mpg record" after I got intake and exhaust (33 hw).

Well, if it INCREASES MPG, then that's an even better reason to get one!
It will still pass smog tests, right?

SRI plus timing advance plus exhaust can not only gain you HP but also MPG.
advancing the timing will lean out the fuel
SRI will give you warmer air which will allow the fuel to combust better and require less fuel
Less restrictive exhaust allows for less back flow so exhaust escapes faster.

Hope this helps a little.

Thanks. That gives a good list of Mods that can be applied with multiple benefits.
If I were to advance the timings, would I do that by way of the RRM Piggy Back?? Or what?

That's really good to know, yitzac.... If I EVER get enough money for a turbo.... But still, generally good information.
