Apparently the V2 is better but I still wouldnt trust it. Get the Alutec one from RPW. That one is really good and no reported problems.

We just had a group buy on 9glancers.com for the rpw pulley. 25 of us got it and they gave us $20 off. Should be here in the next two weeks.

Definitely a better choice than the RRM one imo.

Have the only issues with the RRM pulley been that there are oil leaks? Someone else reported that it throws everything off-balance.
I'm really trying to figure this out as I was going to purchase the RRM in a few days, but now I find out that there are potential problems with this product (for which I didn't even know there were alternatives like the RPW one)...

Honestly either one will work just fine, however there are some things to be considered. Mainly, the RPW pully is balanced. Have there been issues with RRM unbalanced pully? No, so who cares right? Well personally I care. I'd much rather go with the company who took the time and effort to make their pully perfect. The other thing that bothers me is RRM's claim that they use aircraft grade aluminum. Their V1 wasn't very strong because it easily got the worn circle wich caused the oil leaks. That has been fixed now by sleeving the end but it still makes me wonder what grade they're using. When someone questioned rock about the grade they use (6061 is aircraft quality) he dodged the question lol. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, maybe it doesn't matter, I'm just sceptical cuz RRM isn't exactly shy about making exagerated claims. RPW on the other hand uses even higher quality than that, they use 7075 grade aluminum. Pretty much the only thing better about the RRM pully is that it weighs .3 lbs less, and don't kid yourself, that's not going to make any difference. Lastly the RPW pully is only like 20$ more than RRM's. I know we have a lot of RRM fanboys, but pull your head out of ur *** for a min and pay the extra 20$ for the peace of mind that you're getting a good product.
