pretty lost with my 2011 gts cvt
I've been searching thru the forum for some answers in performance but noboy seems to even mention 2011 models.
The only thing I have learned is that cvt tranny can't handle boost. Which sucks cause I have a stock raliart turbo kit lying around.
I have a 2.4 engine n I'm looking into an intake n exhaust. And tunning.
I'm new to the forum but I havnt found any info what so ever on tunning a 2011 gts n the horse power gains it will give u.
Just any advice on what mods will give me the the biggest boost in horse pwer would be appreciated. N also what complications may occur if any.

You should look into the Works ECU flash. You basically remove your ecu, mail it to them, they tune it, ship it back, put it back in, and bam you have an instant tune. I think it's around 200$ and I don't know the gains off the top of my head, but from what I remember it was a decent performance option.
Should be undetectable to the dealer and if they do reflash it to stock for some reason Works will retune it again for free.

I have 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback GTS CVT.
Sprintbooster V2 makes the throttle much more responsive for the slushy CVT. Makes car feel faster too, but does not improve HP/TQ.
RRM piggy back ecu (+8HP/6TQ) + better fuel economy compared to stock. This piggy back is self learning but you got to splice into your wires and that voids warranty. Similar gains to works flash but this one is self learning and voids warranty.
RRM timing control Box (+8HP/+6TQ) Advances ignition timings, forces you to put in a minimum of 89 octane, slight decrease in fuel milage.
Combine the above 2 together and you get about 10hp/8TQ roughly.
WORKS drop in filter you get +4HP do to increased air flow from cotton gabric constructed filter. No actual downside as you use the stock air box but it is the most expensive drop in filter for the lancer you can buy, more expensive than similar K&N drop in filter. Skip the short ram intakes, my experience was I lost power and it bogged in the low end with the RRM short ram intake.
Greddy SP Elite axleback exhaust gives about 6hp to wheels due to lower back pressure and about 60 percent lighter than stock muffler. Downside is you can do better with that amount of money, should go with the WORKS flash or RRM piggyback first for most gains.
RRM lightweight Crank Pulley or RPW lightweight crank pulley adds +2HP and gives faster reving as it weighs about half a pound compared to the stock 4 pounder. RPW lightweight crank pulley is prefered buy due to it also having dampening.
This stuff I know works cause I have them all installed (or one of 2 options).
Power Slot Rotors and Stoptech Street Performance brake pads also improve stopping power noticably better over stock.

ok so its been a while since i posted on this. i went to rre and they told me that its a waste of money to work on my cvt. they said it has trouble handling the power that car has stock. they said they havnt had a turbo cvt last more then 5 min. so i was a bit dissapointed to say the least. i tried picking up and evo x but didnt work out. so i have decided desperate times call for desperate measures. im installing the raliart turbo kit i have on my gts. ima try to run 4psi . i know im gonna blow the tranny so before everyone gives me crap. i dont care. ima run it like that blow the tranny and then swap it out. il build the motor and tranny n hopefully it works out in the end. il keep everyone posted on my build. turbo should go in in about 2 weeks
Rebuilding something always sounds like fun and is a must if you wanna learn more about your car. Blowing up a tranny just to do so...not so fun, you can risk breaking more than just a tranny, worth trying to build a turbo cvt and I look forward to the project, wish you the best of luck, you sound like you have a gunner project than mine.
