e85 question

i have an 03 lancer, my ? is, is it possible to convert to e85 and have the same or near the same gas mileage? disregarding how much power it will make

i would say no. e85 burns much faster. there is a new ECU system out now that can turn you car into a true flex fuel car though. i believe it is called the pro EFI. big bucks though.

thanks ill check that out, trying to convert e85 since its cheaper but i kno its burns like 33% more. if only there was a way to use as little fuel as possible whie keeping the car driveable

There is its called use ecuflash to run forced open loop so you can control your fuel while cruising. Then lean it out to around 15.5 afr and you have better mileage

I run forced open loop cruise with increased timing.
I get about 18-22 MPG mixed driving.
