Hey guys. So i have been searching everywhere and cant figure this out! Have a 2002 lancer oz rally auto that has a 16g kit and im trying to use ecuflash to tune. Im using the open port tactrix 2.0 with the latest version of ECUflash and have downloaded all of the master file XMLs from senate. I can connect the ECU and read the ecu, however it tells me unknown rom image and when i try and view it i choose the "inherit from the definition below" which is 81870006 which is a 2003 lancer oz rally auto. The internal ID for this inherited rom image is 88540021 which is an XML that i do not have in my current XMLs. Any advice guys? I have the directory in Ecuflash " \OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\lancer " and i still cant get it to recognize the stock rom image. Thanks for any help guys!


EDIT: THIS IS NOT MY CAR, THIS IS A FRIENDS CAR, I HAD AN 02 LANCER OZ THAT WAS BOOSTED A WHILE BACK BUT IVE BEEN OUT OF THE GAME FOR A LONG TIME AND I FORGET MUCH ABOUT ECUFLASH SETUP. THANKS!

 

Im pretty sure u have to have the exact definition for a 2002 oz a/t to read it...but you can just flash one from a 2003 and it will work....only thing is u wont have your stock rom to reflash if u want to go n/a again...

 

i had this problem with my 02 lancer es. you just have to make sure you have the right definitions and that they are in the right place. i ended up using 2003 definitions for my 2002 cause i was fed up with trying to make it work.
