Looking for good intake kit

Hey, I have an 02 Lancer ES and looking for a real good intake kit. Something with a good sized pipe for more air, not way overpriced because of the brand name. Any suggestions?

I've searched around, mainly on ebay. Hard to determine which one is better than the other. Also some of the specs have several different diameters for different parts of the intake, I don't know which one is for the pipe.

Which categories are the reviews under? I did a scan and don't see a place for reviewing products.

Look down the right of the webpage and you'll find a section called "Quick Search". Then in the blank space provided type in a string of words to search for.

RRM SRI... benifits of a CAI aren't that much better then a SRI so go with a SRI. Injen makes a CAI, so does AEM for our cars. You can only use a CAI on a manual transmission.

all intakes are pretty much the same, you'll get about 4 hp no matter what intake you get. Just make sure u get a good filter, I.E K&N. Piping doesnt really matter, u can use the stock piping if u want, id get a heat shield too.

Honestly u would save urseld a bunch of money by makin ur own, since u were searchin on e-bay, all u have to do is order one off there and replace the filter, cause the filter in those things are crap.

There's an RMR short ram intake that's for sale right now for $100. For the price you can't beat it, and there's no comparing the heat shield with RRM's.

I was looking at the RMR short ram (my friend said I'd want that instead olf CIA cause I like to drive through water)...if I got that, would I need to change anything like Nm0ney34 mentioned?

any short ram is fine for water, its the CAI that has trouble in the water, most people get a water bypass valve or something like that. But since your leaning torwards SRI dont worry bout it.

If you made your own sri, got a nice filter w/heatshield. thats the same thing as rmr intake, and ull save alot of money. But if u do go with the rmr it will have everything u need. nothing ull have to change.

The intake is not going to "boost" your car much at all, if your not a big car person save your money.
