Tightening Throttle cable?

I'm seeing alot of lag in my throttle response. It used to pick up quicker than what its doing. I was wondering if there was a way to tighten that cable up, and if you so how?

Do a search this has been covered tons of times before. Generally its not recommended to tighten the cable. The slacks there for a reason.

You can take out the slack, just don't let the butterfly remain open AT ALL when you're off the accelerator. It's closed for a reason. The IAC bypass valve is what takes care of idle, so if you leave the butterfly open you're essentially bypassing the stepper motor and your idle air bypass. You'll probably run lean, and you'll almost definitely stall everytime you're at idle, if the car starts at all. As for a how to, I know I posted one, and I'm pretty sure there are several others. Just look for them.
