Loose throttle cable, pedal goes all the way to the floor but cable is still attached

help..... I can pull the cable and the engine still revs but there is about 5-6 inches of slack, is there a pulley or somthing that the throttle cable could have slipped off of. My car is stranded at a gas station as I type this, I had sombody from work pic me up. Any input would be greatly apreciated.

There is a plastic piece on the throttle body the cable could have fallen out of. Doubtful the other end came off the pedal.

Where did you get that info for the diagram, Full size would be cool, and do you think that would cause that much slack? I'm talking easily 5 inches. It happend as I was accelerating, it kinda studdered then the pedal dropped all the way to floor.

It's the factory manual, 5" is a lot once you get a look at in the light I'm sure it'll be obvious what happened. I think if you left click on the image you'll be able to see it just fine.

weld for a bracket on my manifold that puts tension on the throttle cable gave. Probably because I damaged my big fmic and have a stock one on right now. I think the manifold was just getting to hot from the 35r pushing all that hot air though the stock IC.

Well even if it's against the floor, if you press harder you go faster right?

I'd say its from a cheap manifold. Who makes it?
