Okay second questoin.
Okay second questoin.
Like I said before I am going to ask questions until my car is done, but one step at a time. So now we go on to super/turbochargers. Remember I have an OZ rally 2002. Well here it goes, dont everyone tell me I am nuts all at once. I am looking at installing a turbokit http://www.turbokits.com/lancer_turbo_kits.html. Go to this site to check out the kit. It is the $2799 one, not the less expensive one. Well what else can you guys suggest for my car so it doesnt explode. Secondary question, can I drive this car on a daily basis, not with the turbo on, just drive it. Besides the fact that I will install a full catback exhaust system, and COA. What else is there. Do I need new cams, gears etc. Do I need a new manifold (which I kind of already know I do). But what will I need to run this car safely on the street when I don't want to whip the *** of hicks in ****ty mustangs with bass cubes. God I hate those guys. Thanks. Oh and I dont want my engine to explode or blow ever. Just please guys tell me what to do now so that in the future I dont have any hurt in the ol ticker. what do I need to get, what brands do I buy, everything help. This way I can make money off of ****ty Camaros with mullets and ******* Hondas with only a COA and exhaust. I hate the midwest.
Sorry I didnt realize I couldnt put stories on here. Sorry I apologize to anyone who was offended.

ok, thats all good and everything but you shouldn't be talking about street racing on here. Thats a big no no. Also refering to your turbo kit question, if you go with the turbokits.com kit you wont have to get a new manifold (exhaust) because the kit comes with a turbo one that your turbo hooks right up to. If you decide to use the RRM turbo you can use your stock one or you can get theirs. Also if you get the turbokits.com kit you might need a little custom fabrication to make it fit right. Run a search and you should be able to find a couple of threads on this subject.
haha, nice story... i like the "I pick the road"..."huhuhh ok!! EASY MONEY"
but back on topic, I know which turbo kit u are talking about. and if i ever turbo'd that would be one of my possibilities. You would want to either get GReddy's emanage, or a stand alone, to tune that with. also, if u get the turbo from that site i would get the sxtreme kit that comes with EVERYTHING, and upgrade the turbo to ball bearing...the only problem is, noone really has it so u would be the first. but the only way to find out is to try. It is a great price too.
Do some searchin and ask anything else, good luck.

Great story man, but yeah I've read the disclamer, no street racing stories. gotta love the big displacement gives you big ***** stories. I would say for now, unless you have somewhere around 4 grand to spend is to get some small mods put on for now, as much as it sounds stupid a bunch of small minor things will let your car not blow up. Start with the internals if you really want a car to get moving, this way it's both reliable and fast, other wise, just get the exhaust CAI and maybe the RRM Piggy back, some new spark plugs and wires, you'll have some fun driving then, won't be the fastest thing around, but still makes a hell of a difference.
Next portion of question.
So do you guys think that I will need forged pistons, and piston rings, and maybe new cams and headers and a new manifold or not. I just dont want my engine to go booooom at the wrong time. I know alot of people blow their engine and I dont want it to happen to me. So thats it for now. Oh when are you guys doing the group buy and can we set up a group by in January for the Cedia ralliart grille I know a guy and he would be willing to help us out. Peace
if you don't boost a whole lot you don't have to worry about the internals. I think it's anything more than about 9 psi is when you would want to upgrade the pistons/rods. Here is a thread discussing this same exact issue:

first thing.... search. the extreme kit basically comes with everything you need. you'll need to buy some extra gaskets for your exhaust. you dont need anything else to run the kit. i know a couple people in the area with the turbokits.com kit and their cars are running fine/great. i think the kits come set at 6spi-7psi. if you go beyond that amount of boost, you should start looking into upgrading the engine internally/fuel mods.
Sorry let me re-vise what I said, You don't absolutly need to have the internals, but if you want to make sure nothing will happen with your engine if you force induct it, it's not a bad idea to spend some money on the internals.
I wouldn't suggest calling RRM and clogging up their phones when they are already pretty busy. All the information you really need is available on here if you take some time to search. If the information is not already up, post a new thread and people will answer your questions. Only at the last resort, start calling people (unless you're ordering something).
