I got custom 2" piping from the cat back, straight pipe, mandrel bent, same route as the stock piping but larger for like 100$, Although I don't know if I got a deal because it was a guy I used to go to HS with and he did it after hours for the extra money. I got a good deal he made $100 minues the supplies. 2" piping seems to be pretty good to start with a small amount of mods, since backpressure is needed somewhat for torque, again it's all on what you have, bigger isn't always better. I'll probably replace it with something bigger when I come along with some more mods on my engine. But personally I like to keep the low end torque for the take off and still have enough free flowing exhaust for the High end. Especially around 3200 rpms where it will get a little kick and start haulin'.

 

yea mags sound really loud and nice... My friend's 300zx had them, and it was a nice sound. Don't know about performance though.

 

300zx sounds totally different than a 4 cyl lancer.. 300zx tt is a crazy car which i wish i had.. my fav car.. sounds so deep and loud and its fast.. fast ...........fast

go with the Greddy evo2 if you are looking to eliminate annoying noise, I put it on my es, and it's perfect, at low rpm's it's really deep, and at high rpm's my intake is louder than my exhaust.
