kamakazi header for 04

Hey all. Does anyone know if the kamakazi header and down pipe will fit on a 04 es. I know theyre basically the same engines as the o3 and 02 but i heard you need a custom downpipe for it to fit . . anyone ? ? ?

im pretty sure you will need a custom DP for it to fit...this is due the the piping being a lil bit longer in the 04's than the previous models...no sure why tho

hmmm. Is there a way to modify the downpipe that comes with it? What exactly is the down pipe just open pipeing form the header into the exhaust pipeing right? ANyone know how much of a difference it is between the sizes of the older lancers as compared to the newer ones? damn mitsubishi for not makeing the same sizes and no fuel return line for the rrm turbo kit lol

Don't quote me on this, but I think the downpipe was banging against something. It would have been resolved by modifying the hangers.

But again... don't quote me on that.

That is one issue. Good Memory , the other problem was that the original batch of kamikaze headers made the CEL light come on due to the fact that there was no hole for the 02 sensor to go into. Kamikaze has since corrected both problems from what i hear.

That problem hasn't been fixed either They do have a whole for the sensor, but the CEL still comes on (Cat temp below minimum threshold or something).
