Idle Flux?

All has been going well, i decided to install the "homemade" ground kit with 12ga wire and caps. Well finish it, idle seems to drop freq. Like dipping down, when driving at night i notice it more b/c my lights dim until i increase throttle. WHat could be the problem? I know i need a new filter but would that cause bad idle? or how bout oil change? Thanks

wait, wires and caps? whats the rating on the caps? it could be that with the way they are hooked up they are not discharging because they are not getting enough power until you get on the gas. I've never heard of a grounding kit with caps unless it was for a stereo system, not the whole car.

did you remove all the old grounding wires that came with the car or just added new ones? reason i ask is because if you removed the old ones and replaced with the spaghetti 12g ones, then that might cause a problem

yeah dude, ditch 12g, that's not enough for it, go at LEAST 8g, 4g would be best, and uhh, why are there caps in the grounding system?

ooohhh, you mean crimping caps. thats better, i was afraid (like everyone else) you used capacitors. i would say instead of crimping, just bust out the soldering iron and have at it

btw, did you remove the stock grounding wires or not?

solder them to.......what? I cant find crimps for anything below a 12ga. Can i just squeez them between the bolts? or just stretch the caps to fit around them?
