Question Headers

ive been looking at RRM headers for my lancer an I'm wondering if they are worth buying. They are $380. I'm selling my lancer for an IS300 in about a year so I'm wondering I should spend the money on the headers. And how good are the headers from RRM if anybody knows...thanks

You will never make back the money you spend on parts when you resell a car. I don't believe anyone has the RRM header install yet either, but someone should shortly.

There are about 6 or seven headers out there. Sold out fast! Get 5 more tomorrow. Heard good stuff from the 3 guys I know have them installed. I drove one myself. and it was as I expected. Good linear power band, not pipy top end power only like a Kamkaze (that I drove.) But they need to tell you about them not me.

Rob, Gabriel. anyone.....
Ok I was wondering howmuch improvement the header will give, I mean is the gains comparable to that of the test pipe, or more noticable? Just wondering, I assume the header would create a more noticable power increase, just making sure though.

I'm sort of back. hahaha! Improvements met our expectations of around 15 h.p. More noticeable than a testpipe for sure!

Isn't 15hp kind of high just for a header? I know integras that barely squeeze 5 hp out of their headers. If its true thats great! I'll be running down to RRM around tax time.

I'd also like to see some dyno results.

So, YouNVthis... an IS300 instead of an Evo VIII or a USDM Lancer that will "decimate all?"

I have the header installed. Very nice addittion. As soon as I can find a dyno locally i will post the results for everyone. I just need to work out some gremlins. However, like ROCK said. It is a very smooth gain. Great low end torque, better mid range, and just change to the next gear to start it all over. I also have the TB installed at the same time so my results might be a little better.
