shouldn't that problem go away once the PB learns/teaches the ecu?

Well guys I just finished parking my car after the install tonight, And it only took me 30 minutes from start to finish on my auto 02 es. The car did exactly what the instructions said it would do, it idle up high and then settled to around 8-900. I drove it the specified 15-20 after my 5-10 minute idle and i had no problem what so ever. But I know from the past that if you don't let it idle for that first 5-10 minutes it will have a rough idle like alot of you are experienceing so try to disconnect the battery again and go through the learn mode again. I have to say though it didn't really impress me that much for saying it was an almost $500 unit. I could def. feel the top end power above 70mph but i really didn't see mauch at the bottom, I also got the test pipe a few months ago and really didn't feel anything there either. What I did notice is that it will rev up to 6500 rpms now, and the town driving is pretty smooth. I'm gonna give it a couples days to run some premium through it good and put in a new set of spark plugs, it did pull nicely well past 90mph though.

Its definately for smoothing out the RPMs and top end horse power. And if you have a test pipe, you're just robbing low end torque and power since your exhaust is so opened up.

No I filled up with 93 on my way home to put it in, and i wouldn't think backpressure would be a problem cause i still have the stock header with cat and my resonator half way back, it's that damn automatic transmission that kills all the fun.

I intalled my piggy in the middle of summer and had a few problems ( wiring problems my fault) then it ran fine until the temp dropped. Now any time it gets below about 35 degrees i have to watch my idle. Sometimes when the engine is warm the idle will drop to about 600 and ill get a CEL. I was told by RRM that i have a earlier production version that was not calibrated to Northeastern winters. LOL.

well its been 2 days since my install and I have noticed increased torque and high end power but the problem I am having is if I redline first, or get close to it and go into second it seems that the car boggs for just an instant almost like the fuel is too much! I have just put in NGK irridium plugs and the rest of the power band is great. the same thing happens anytime going from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th, and the speed limits do not allow for the latter. any suggestions? I am sure the pig is in there right.

hey kidlancer, if you didnt get a chance to install your piggy yet and want to wait til the weather is a little nicer I've still got to install mine, we could get together and help each other out. Plus if you want I've got the cedia lights installed already so I could help you with the wiring if you like. Let me know...

You should be able to send it back to them and they can put the latest maps on it for you at no cost. You just have to send a money order for return shipping. At least that what they did for me.
