That is the same thing I complained about when I had one. After two new maps and a request to give me a third one I gave up.

Under regular driving the car feels great. At WOT you experience that bogg.

I know I am no fool.

well, this should be easy, so i'll say it to both you guys as you seemed to have taken the same upgrade path: ditch the test pipe and put your stock cat back on. do it right now. you simply don't have enough mods for it to be useful, honestly, all its doing is robbing yoru torque and adding another 20db.

mikedub, ditch the plugs. search around, but i seemed to recall alot of people are having misfires with "domestic" or platinum plugs. stay oem, ngk's are good, denso's are good. i have even been told by the top dog at my mitsu service garage that platinum plugs will cause misfire.

finally, remember, the PB takes advantage of what bolt ons you guys have. no offense to anyone, but a intake doesn't exactly add too much. my bet, once you start throwing other bolt ons on, you will notice a difference in the PB. thats why i choose to get my bolt ons first, and then the piggy to top it all off

Case study number one.

RPW header
RMR intake
Custom CAtback exhaust.
At the time RRM PB

BIG TIME BOGG

Need I say more. I'm telling you what I experienced. What else could I have used to take advantage of the PB.

Don't you agree Green Psycho?
haha, i concur!

as for you wadad, honestly, i think you just got the shaft 3 times in a row. nothing against you or your mods, you just had bad luck, plain and simple. perhaps there is some deep rooted reason, such as fubar'd o2 readings that caused the fuel flood, but its nothing you did wrong nor is it hte mods.

hey tim im down with that!... but i already installed mine... BUT... i keep getting a cell so im trying to sniff out the problem.

my suspect's are:
1: bad wiring (durr!)
2: Test Pipe (never threw a cell before the piggy was on)
3: Super Brisk Northeastern air / temperatures (maybe i wont get a cel in the spring)

im trying to get to the bottom of this asap so i can move forward... just pm me when ever u need help (you have a auto or manual???) im runnin auto. let me tell you.. 3rd gear goin into 4th is a monster with this thing!!!

man.. i just got a new tune up. fresh plugs, fresh wires the whole shabang. and im still getting a CEL. im gonna check my wiring for the 4th time. i dunno im loosing my patience with this piggy back stuff. RRM should just make a video of auto n manual install IMO.

yo dubz im sorry to hear that man. u might have to clean your fuel injection or something. theres gotta be something to reverse that.

not to create controversy here but to be honest guy's the problem I see here is that a "Pre programmed unit" from what I understand this unit is, is just not compatible enough or flexible enough to cater for the large range of firstly modifications on these vehicles along with different states, tempatures etc.

we have this problem a lot in australia with "pre programmed chips" which on the initial test car work well of course because they are programmed on that car to maximise the mods / speciifc to that vehicle.

Unless your car is exactly 100% the same the results you get on vehicles other than that is always going to be of mixed results.

Let me confirm here I am not saying that improved results are not possible, but ultimatly it is never going to be as good as a unit which is INDIVIDUALLY TUNED to suit your specific cars and needs.

every car is different and has its own quirks etc especially when modified.

This is not a anti RRM rant - there unit obviously has the ability to provide improvements for teh car but I beleive what it needs to finish it off is the ability for you to go to a tuner and have it fine tuned to specifically what your car requires. Think of it as more of a starting point.

This is onoly somthing I see from a modifiers and tuners point of view and of course, being everyone based in the USA the selling of these items has no bearing or effect upon me.

^ I totally agree. So when the time comes I'll go with a Greedy E-manage unit and invest in the software and tools I need to do the tuning myself. But right now with gas prices being what they are I'll gladly stick to my beloved econobox's preference toward 87ocatne.
