Question Kamikazee hdr/dp with test pipe....will it sound ricey???

I have a RMR intake and a RMR exhaust and Im gonna buy the Kamikazee header and dp combo, but I want to pick up the ///RRM test pipe, but I need to know if its gonna make the car sound raspy or high pitched? I love the nice deep grumble it has now, but Im afraid of it sounding like **** if i do the test pipe? Any help would be great!

I have the Kamikaze header with the test pipe....... the exhaust is quite a bit louder but i don't think it sounds "ricey" You will enjoy a nice little boost of accelleration above 4000 rpm's with the header. it's just a pain in the butt to install though. I say go for it.

I'm Lovin it!!! at 1st the greddy was to quiet for my taste.. then the test pipe gave it some sound (more bass not treble like a civic lolol )and gave my car lot more push! its so deep that i accidently set of car alarms here n there lolol. i cant wait to add my RPW race header! so i say go for it man!!

i feel the headers give a lil raspy civic noise but it aint loud. with the test pipe it will be loud, but since u really don't have alot of mods, u will loose alot of low end power which i don't think is worth it for top end since our motor strives at low end since its a trqy. but if u decide to get the test pipe u can always get a glass pack resonator that should make it sound much nicer. much

A little raspy on accelleration but i think it's more high pitched at crusing speed then at idle. I honestly don't mind it. I like the sound. Just my $ .02

I had just about all combinations you can get in an exhaust. With my Kamikazi headers, second cat, and Magnaflow exhaust, I thought it was TOO loud. When I had my turbo in with NO cats, it was quiter than that set up because the turbo muffles alot of the noise.

yes i had that set up and IMO it did kinda sound ricey at about 4000rpms. But i did kinda have a little leak between dp and cat. but its nice.

just put my kamikaze headers on. sounds a little more throaty until you get higher in rpms. then, yes, it sounds a little more "honda-ish". but i dig the aggressive sound.

Wher can I get the Kamikazi headers for the lancer? I've seen 3 different spellings of it here and can't find a website that has it for the lancer.

It's spelled Kamikaze and you can find one on either bigjoshracing.com or kamikazeperformance.com - they should have what you need.

Since this thread was resting peacefully, let's let it stay that way.

PS - ptuning.com has it cheapest!
